First and foremost, Farmington City is committed to providing essential and critical services to our community.  There will be no disruption to water, garbage, spring clean-up, emergency services, on-line services and other essential services.

Soft Facility Closures – City Hall, Public Works and Parks & Recreation.  These buildings will be open for city business; however, for the safety of the public and the employees, we would strongly encourage residents to work with the City during this time in a way other than in person if at all possible.

Alternative contact methods include via the web at, email or by calling 801-451-2383 for Administration and Community Development, 801-451-0953 for Parks & Recreation or 801-451-2624 for Public Works.

Complete Facility Closures – Gymnasium, Police Station, Fire Station, Pool, Community Arts Center and Museum.  These closures are directly intended to protect the interests of all people.  Employees will still be on-site, but public access to these facilities will be restricted.  Along with these facilities, the following events have been cancelled/postponed:

  • All City sponsored events including Easter Egg Hunt, Lunch with the Mayor and all sports programming and leagues under the direct control of Farmington City
  • Fingerprint services, tours, unlocking vehicles (unless child or animal is locked inside), etc.
  • All City Council and Planning Commission Meetings

For non-emergency Police matters please call 801-451-5453 or call 911 for emergency calls.

For non-emergency Fire matters please call 801-451-2842 or call 911 for emergency calls.

These measures will remain in place until further notice.  This is a fluid situation and will be continually examined and reevaluated as circumstances change and more information becomes available.
