Farmington City Festival Days Parade Rules & Regulations
PLEASE READ ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS.
$30.00 for all business (for profit) and political entries
$15.00 for all non-profit organization entries
Plus a $50.00 refundable deposit for all animal entries
Floats are Free (please get approval from Louise at Parks & Rec)
Deadline: please submit your entry form by Friday July 6, 2019. Space is limited.
Parade will be held on Saturday July 13, 2019 Parade will begin at 500 North and Main Street at 10:00 a.m. SHARP! Parade ends on 200 W in-front of the Jr. High School.
Line –up starts at 8:30am Please be in place for judging by 9:15am: Line up by your number (you will be emailed a few days before event with your line-up number). Numbers start on 500 North and 100 East. **Please note only North bound traffic on 100 East**
Judging: A recognitions award will be given for the following categories: Mayor’s Choice, Best Use of Theme, Most Creative, and Grand Marshall’s Choice.
Please be mindful of the flow of the Parade and keep the gaps closed.
Candy thrown from a float or a vehicle must reach the curb and cannot be thrown from inside a vehicle; items need to be thrown from an open area, convertible, truck bed, etc... Giveaways need to be handed out in front of the crowd along the street. Spectators are not allowed to enter the parade route to retrieve them. Drivers are not allowed to throw any items.
The spraying of any liquid into the crowd is prohibited.

There must be 1 adult for every 10 children on each parade entry.
Remember this is a fun event for the whole family. No excessive loud, inappropriate lyrics or sound will be permitted.
No one is allowed to get on or off a float or entry once it has started down the parade route.
Animal Entry Policy: Must provide your own waste clean-up. The city does not provide this service. All animal entries need to pay a $50.00 deposit; after compliance of waste clean-up is complete, deposit will be refunded through the city via a mailed check.
All animal entries must be people and crowd experienced and safe for all concerned. All dogs in the parade must be kept on leashes and held by someone strong enough to manage them.
No alcoholic beverages on any entry at any time before or during the parade.
It is the responsibility of parents and/or guardians with children participating in the parade to make necessary arrangements to have children met and picked-up at designated points. Parade ends at 200 South and 200 West.
The City of Farmington reserves the right to restrict, limit, accept or reject any unit application.
Any entry violating rules or behaving in an unsafe manner will be subject to
immediate removal from the parade by a City of Farmington employee, law enforcement officer or parade committee volunteer.
All participants, in consideration of participation in this event, agree to indemnify, hold harmless and release the City of Farmington, its agents and employees/volunteers, from any and all liability for any injury or damage which may arise out of or in any way be connected with participation in the City of Farmington Festival Days Parade.
Failure to comply with any of these rules may affect the entrant’s involvement in future Parades.

*After submitting your application, please call Louise at 801-451-0953 to pay with a Visa or MasterCard. You will not have a spot reserved until payment is received.
