OFFICES TO BE VOTED ON
Three City Council positions – 4 years terms; January 2012 – January 2016
ELECTION DAY
The polls must be opened at 7 a.m. and remain open continuously until 8 p.m. of the same day. The poll workers must allow every voter who arrives at the polls by 8 p.m. to vote.
POLLING LOCATIONS
This year precincts FA1-FA4 and FA11 will be voting at the Legacy Events Center located at 151 South 1100 West. Precincts FA5 - FA10 will vote at the Farmington Community Center located at 120 South Main Street. Please click here for a map.
VOTER REGISTRATION
Residents wishing to vote must be registered. Registration is handled by the Davis County Election Clerk’s Office at 28 E State Street in Farmington.
EARLY VOTING
Early voting begins 14 days before each election and ends at 5:00 p.m. the Friday before the election. It is held at the Farmington City Hall (160 South Main).
General Election Early Voting – Tuesday, October 31st through Thursday, November 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to noon and then Friday, November 4th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
ABSENTEE VOTING
Voters wishing to cast an absent-voter ballot must do so no later than the Friday before the election in the office of the City Recorder. If the absentee vote is done by mail, the ballot envelope must be postmarked BEFORE Election Day and received by the City Recorder’s office not later than noon of the day of the official canvass.
VALID VOTER IDENTIFICATION
A form of identification that bears the name and photograph of the voter which may include:

A currently valid Utah driver license
-
A currently valid identification card that is issued by:
-
the state; or
-
a branch, department, or agency of the United States;
-
A currently valid Utah permit to carry a concealed weapon;
-
A currently valid United States passport; or
-
A currently valid United States military identification card;
One of the following identification cards, whether or not the card includes a photograph of the voter:
-
A valid tribal identification card;
-
A Bureau of Indian Affairs card; or
-
A tribal treaty card;
OR
Two forms of identification not listed under Subsection (75)(a) or (b) but that bear the name of the voter and provide evidence that the voter resides in the voting precinct, which may include:
-
A current utility bill or a legible copy thereof, dated within the 90 days before the election;
-
A bank or other financial account statement, or a legible copy thereof;
-
A certified birth certificate;
-
A valid Social Security card;
-
A check issued by the state or the federal government or a legible copy thereof;
-
A paycheck from the voter's employer, or a legible copy thereof;
-
A currently valid Utah hunting or fishing license;
-
Certified naturalization documentation;
-
A currently valid license issued by an authorized agency of the United States;
-
A certified copy of court records showing the voter's adoption or name change;
-
A valid Medicaid card, Medicare card, or Electronic Benefits Transfer Card;
-
A currently valid identification card issued by:
-
Alocal government within the state;
-
An employer for an employee; or
-
A college, university, technical school, or professional school located within the state; or
-
A current Utah vehicle registration.
