Brigham Mellor is the Community and Economic Development Director for Syracuse City after being employed as the Economic Development Director for Salt Lake County. He worked for the Economic Development Corporation of Utah, managing projects and helping companies with their due diligence needs. Prior to EDCutah he worked in the commercial architecture and structural engineering industry as a project manager and coordinator. Brigham graduated from Dixie State College with an A.S. Degree and then from the University of Utah with both a B.S. in Economics, and a Masters of Economics Degree. Brigham is serving his first term as a City Councilman in Farmington Utah, which was recently labeled by Money Magazine as the 14th best place to live in the US. His committee responsibilities for the city include sitting on the development review committee and the league of cities and towns. Brigham was previously appointed to the Planning Commission where he served from 2011 to 2013.
He lives on the west side of Farmington and is originally from St. George, Utah. He has one son and one daughter and married his lovely wife Emily in 2006. Brigham loves to snowboard, mountain bike, kayak, and in warm months he rides his road bike to work and even council meetings taking advantage of our many bike lanes, paved trails, and public transit options in Farmington.
