Planning Commission Positions

The Mayor and City Council are now accepting applications for Planning Commission members. Term of service is 4 years (January 2010 through December 2013).
The Planning Commission is a seven member board which meets twice a month to review, provide recommendations, and make decisions regarding planning and zoning issues which affect our community.
For those applying for the Planning Commission, a letter of interest with qualifications should be received by 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009. Address the letter to:

2010 Park and Pool Reservations

Parks and Recreation will start taking reservations for the 2010 Park and Pool season on Monday, January 4th, 2010 for Residents and Monday, January 11th, 2010 for Non Residents from 8am to 5pm. All reservations must be made in person at the Parks and Recreation Office located at 720 W. 100 N. No phone call reservations will be accepted.
Monday - Thursday Fees
Farmington City Resident $50.00 deposit/ $25.00 user fee
Non Resident $50.00 deposit/ $50.00 user fee
Friday, Saturday and Sunday Fees
Farmington City Resident $50.00 deposit/ $25.00 user fee for first 4 hours $5.00 each additional hour
Non Resident $50.00 deposit/ $50.00 user fee for first 4 hours $10.00 each additional hour
Farmington City Pool Fees
Monday thru Saturday from 7pm to 10pm
A partial payment of $150.00 is required to hold the pool and will be put toward the final fee.
Residents $300.00 Non Residents $400.00

Spring Youth Theater Auditions

Auditions for the Spring Youth Theater production of Willy Wonka directed by Michael Nielsen and Carol Thomas will be held in January. Auditions will take place Saturday, January 16th from 9am - 12pm in the Main Hall and Tuesday, January 19th 6pm - 8pm in the Multipurpose Room. A participation fee of $15.00 for residents and $25.00 for non-residents and a $75.00 volunteer deposit will be required in order to audition. Come prepared to sing 16 bars of a broadway song. Mens Basketball League

Registration begins on Monday, November 30th - December 11th or until league is full. Play begins in January, and will be held at Farmington Jr High. Cost is $380 per team. Must be at least 17 years old to play. Any questions please contact Parks and Recreation at 801-451-0953.

Santas Magic Holiday Program

Santa Claus will be making a special appearance at the Famington Community Arts Center on Saturday, December 5th, 2009! He'll delight you with an unforgettable magic show then sit for greetings, pictures , and special christmas requests. Refreshments will be served.
When: Saturday, December 5th, 2009
Time: Tickets sold for a 3:00pm engagement and a 5:00pm engagement, Santa will greet us with a magical holiday program and then he will sit for pictures.
Ticket Cost: $2.00 per person (Price does not include the cost of a picture. Pictures will be available for purchase at an additional charge)

Cori Connors Christmas Concert

Quickly becoming a Farmington tradition, A Holiday Concert by Cori Connors is in its third consecutive year. A long time resident of Farmington, Cori's warm style and reminiscent songs set the perfect tone to begin the christmas season. This year Cori has a new CD with fresh new songs. She'll be performing them along with other favorites Monday, November 30th, 2009 at the Farmington Community Arts Center 120 S. Main at 7pm.
